This cloak is inspired by my time spent in Providence, Rhode Island. After a long cold winter, I feel like spring just appears out of nowhere, aggressively bright and cheery. The flowers are in full bloom and the city starts landscaping and making itself look beautiful. While I love this change in season, I am also bitter about how inauthentic and idealized this area becomes. Through the use of overly saturated and muddied colors I emphasis my feelings of gross artificiality about spring in Providence.
